Q:Exactly how wide will the gate expand to?
A:
It will go to 60′ or more. I have a 5 foot span to cover and it fits perfectly. I have been very happy.
Q:What size openings does it fit? Why isn’t there detail on this? What is height?
A:
NOT AS ADJUSTABLE AS DESCRIBED! The panels are rigid and offer only 2″ of give. Thus, the package itself indicates only three widths: 35-37″, 47-49″, and 59-61″. Buyer beware!
Q:I have an archway 5 feet across. How long is the gate
A:
There are two different sizes they sell. I bought both so I believe you need to check the sizes. They are correct.
Q:Size of space between slats: What is the size of the soaces between the slats on this gate?
A:
I know it’s too late for the people asking, but I’m sure others may inquire. The space between the gaps is 1.5 inches. The gaps may be larger on the sides, depending on the width of your doorway/hallway. I have a 50-inch hall and the gaps on each side are out 3 inches.
Q:will this fit a door way that is 64 inches? we have a lab pup and expect him to get pretty big.. height?
A:
It’s a good height but my dog could jump over it when she was 1 1/2 old. Solution: We just set the base higher off the ground!
Q:i have a 90 inch opening will it fit
A:
I think it will fill an opening up to 60″ max, but I’m not 100 percent sure. only used the part with the gate and neither of the extenders. I answered you question by looking at the instruction sheet which seems to indicate a max of 60″ with the extra pieces.
Q:does this item expand to 60 inch openings
A:
From what the description says you will just make it to 60 inches. The gate door opening itself is 23 inches
Q:Would this gate work for an entry that is 48″ wide?
A:
yes! We have ours on 48″ wide entranceway and it works great. Please be sure to consider using a small piece of plywood at either end between the mounting bracket and the wall or door jam. Depending on the door jam you may not need it….if its flush against sheetrock, then its mandatory to avoid a small indentation being created as you tighten the gate supports.
Q:I have a 50 inch opening. Will this gate fit correctly or have to be modified? Thanks.
A:
I think you can leave one of the side panels out and it should fit. The company offers narrow panels to allow for better fit, if necessary. Don’t have all of my measurements anymore, but I think it will work without mechanical modification. Check company website.
Q:What is the height of this product?
A:
Mid door – about 2 1/2 feet- typical babygate
A:
We manually modified the gate to fit the slightly smaller opening. They have a smaller version that will fit smaller openings and then this version that fits to the larger. I would recommend the smaller one unless you are handing with tools.
Q:Looking for a gate that is pressure mounted or free standing that is 76″ wide!!!
A:
This gate has two extensions already. If you got another extension, it might be possible to connect two extensions to one side and make it fit the width you are trying to reach.
Q:i have a 43″ opening ..how to fit this gate?
A:
I am sorry, but I have forgotten the measurements for my opening. I do know the ones on line are the ones I used and it worked for my opening which was larger than yours.
