I would say no. The bars are only about 2 inches apart. Do you live near a Christmas Tree Shop? I saw some there that were almost identical for $25. I wanted to shoot myself. I paid full price…….twice!

There really isn’t much way to adjust the two contact points, unless you were to wedge some type of spacer in between the rubber contact point and the spindle . It could be rigged up to work but not sure how much effort it would take.

Super easy. Pull the pin and slide the gate remove it. Slide the gate to each wall, set the latch in place, turn the tension adjustment, and voila! It’s up!

You will definitely be able to do that. You place the bar to a point that is near the point where it would be a tight fit in the door, and then screw the end cap until it tightens into place. This gate holds REALLY solidly, more than any expandable gate we’ve had in the past. We’ve had it for a few months now, and it hasn’t fallen or wiggled loose at all. Also, if the door is large enough for your dog, there is a door that can be opened and closed on the bottom of the gate.

If you are asking if it can be used to block an area from a baby, I think so. It stands pretty firmly in place and would be hard to topple over. My 50 lb dog has not moved it yet and I have it mid-way down a hallway to slow her down. It is nice looking also.

I’m not sure of the weight but it would be impossible for a 10 pound dachshund to knock I over. The design on the feet of the gate makes it withstand quite a bit of pressure. I have an 18 pound bishop and a 19 pound shi-tsue (sp?) and neither of them can tip it over.

Yes, it will. I use mine at it’s least wide area which is less that 59″. I also use min with one leg on and one leg off, so it ill fit flush in the opening I have because I have noticed that sometimes the pressure mounted gates leave marks on the walls. I would say no as the weather would probably hurt the wood, as it is not all metal.

The sides do not open all the way. They open to a 90 degree angle and it’s designed that way so that it has the stability to stand on its own. If you don’t open them, you’ll have to lean it against something. The expanded width remains the same with open or closed sides. I hope this helps.

On mine, there was no drilling necessary for anything. Sides were simply “slip in” hinges. The width has pre-drilled holes at varying widths. One side has pre-set female screw threads, so that you just pass the “male” screw through the hole at you desired width, and screw it in. Good luck in your search…

However, remember kids are much smarter and if they want to find a way around this, they will. the “wires” are thick so they can use it to use for support to stand. The gate is durable and the end portions swing out, so the toddler can possibly pull these open to enter where they aren’t supposed to be. Hope this helped

The gate is a nice height, therefore it would be hard to knock down in the Z shape or U/C shape. My dog has never open the gate, however my cat knows how to pull it open. I put little weights at the bottom to stop the cat from pulling it open. I have a 50lb boxer. I hope this helps.

I think it will fill an opening up to 60″ max, but I’m not 100 percent sure. only used the part with the gate and neither of the extenders. I answered you question by looking at the instruction sheet which seems to indicate a max of 60″ with the extra pieces.

From what the description says you will just make it to 60 inches. The gate door opening itself is 23 inches

yes! We have ours on 48″ wide entranceway and it works great. Please be sure to consider using a small piece of plywood at either end between the mounting bracket and the wall or door jam. Depending on the door jam you may not need it….if its flush against sheetrock, then its mandatory to avoid a small indentation being created as you tighten the gate supports.

I think you can leave one of the side panels out and it should fit. The company offers narrow panels to allow for better fit, if necessary. Don’t have all of my measurements anymore, but I think it will work without mechanical modification. Check company website.
