Q:i have a boxer pupply, now 5mo old, she just moves other gates back with her paw, is this gate any better

this arrived broken, but
i thought it was flimsy and did not replace it but returned it. So
i never used it, but I can’t see it doing much good for a boxer pup, who could quickly get over it or just knock it down.

Q:Would this gate be satisfactory to prevent todlers from going down a stairway with a 45-1/2 inch distance between the newels?

A:

I wouldn’t suggest this for stairway use as it is a free-standing barricade. Although heavy, it will slide when pushed. Also, the stabilizing legs are serious tripping hazards. I suggest that you look for a baby gate that is specifically designed for stairway security. Unfortunately, I have yet to see a manufacturers that didn’t recommend drilling into the wall/posts to ensure safety.

Q:What are the dimensions for the individual panels, especially the two end panels, and how long are stabilizing legs?

A:

The “Front” panels are ~27″ H by 26″ wide (each), but that doesn’t mean that when you put them together, they’re 52″ wide as they need to overlap each other. Side panels are the same height as the front ones and ~13″ wide/ deep. The stabilizing legs protrude ~9″.
