With easy close feature and its double locking system, this attractive pressure mounted gate is easy to install. Suitable for stairs also, you can feel peace of mind knowing your child is safer. This kit includes two gates and two extensions. Each gate will fit an opening of 28”-32” on its own. Two 3.5” extensions are included. Using one gate with both extensions will reach 28”- 39” and using one gate with one extension will reach 28”-35.5.” Additional extensions sold separately for wider spaces. Two extensions may be used per side to reach a maximum of 111.” This Dreambaby® pressure-mounted gate is easily installed and for most situations there is no need to screw holes into woodwork or walls unless used at the top of stairs where the mounting cups must be screwed in to added security.

Q:Are these gates pressure mounted only or can they be hardware mounted?

They can be both

Q:Is there any way to connect two of these gates together to create a gate for a wide area (86″) with two doors?

I guess it’s technically possible to use the metal rods to link 2 together side by side, but I think the problem you’d run into is that there wouldn’t be enough tension to keep the gates in place.

Q:Is this an easy gate to open with one hand?

Yes, it’s pretty easy for me.

Q:Will one gate plus one extension fit well in a 35 1/2 inch opening? I’m concerned that it’s the max and won’t fit well.

Might want to use 2 extensions I have mine in a 32″ doorway with one extension
