Here is what a happy customer has to say about North States Superyard Ultimate Play Yard, Ivory baby gate,

“We bought two of these play yards. My sister bought this and she recommended it to me. She was right to buy two – one is too small! Our little playpen for our daughter works perfectly. It keeps her in a large enough space to play, keeps her safe, and most importantly, it allows her parents to work on other things. Since we know where she is, it allows us more free time to do other things (dishes, cleaning, etc…).This play yard is very durable, easy to assemble, and very safe.”

Note: if you buy two, it is easy to connect the two – no tools. You just click the open ends against each other.

Cons:

1. Door is difficult to open

2. Cheaply made

3. Panels feel flimsy and crack easily

Here is what a customer has to say negative about North States Superyard Ultimate Play Yard, Ivory,

“We have been using this play yard to keep our toddler off the stairs. It worked fairly well before she became extremely mobile but it has grown less and less effective over the months we have had it. The panels are so light that they are easily lifted by a little one (my daughter is a small 15 month-old) so we have had to bungee cord the panels to the stair railings on either side so that she doesn’t just move the gate out of her way. Even with the bungee cords, she has now figured out how to move the panels just enough to squeeze by and get up the stairs. My husband and I have always strongly disliked the gate on this play yard but now hate it after months of use. The gate requires you to lift up and out in order to open it but the entire panel is so light that instead of releasing, the entire gate panel simply lifts off the ground and does not open. We have found that you have to step on the corner of the panel to hold it down while lifting up and out on the gate. It is ridiculous and a constant source of frustration. I do not know if there is anything better out there but we certainly would not purchase this again.”

Pros of Summer Safe Play yard, Tan:

1. Easy to assemble

2. Sturdy

3.Taller than similar products

A happy review from a parent,

“This Playard is great quality and I love the lever on the top to open/close the yard. I had one of these type Playards years ago that did not have the opener feature and it was difficult to open and close. Moreover, this one is 3 inches taller than the older model. I would definitely recommend this product – well worth the money.”

Cons of Summer Safe Play yard, Tan:

1. Plastic is too flexible

2. Slides on the floor

3. Toddlers can get cut on the rough edges

A not so happy parent tells the following about Summer Safe Play yard, Tan,

“I used this play yard for a couple weeks, until my baby, who is just learning to pull up to a standing position, fell and cut his head open on the rough plastic edges that stick out on the frame! It is also not very sturdy, and super easy to push around, so when my son would try to use it to pull up, it would slide around the floor. I am returning this and getting a different type of enclosure for my son to play in that is safer.”

This spacious, baby gate play yard offers the following features:

1. 8 panels that will enclose a 19 square foot area

2. Walk-through design

3. PVC free

4. Meets current safety standards

Pros of Regalo 4 In 1 Metal Play Yard, White:

1. Sturdier than plastic

2. Stays in place

3. Horizontal bars prevent small children from climbing

Following is a good review about Regalo 4 In 1 Metal Play Yard, White,

“I got this because my 14 month old entered the “Climb all things” phase. I really like that it has vertical bars without any crossbars for him to use as leverage. I have it screwed into the walls as a fence around my TV stand and book cases. It is a little bit longer than I needed. I planned to take one of the panels out, but I discovered that if you take one panel out, you have to take two because of the way the ends lock together. Also, when you are opening it for the first time, loosen the tension knobs in between the panels before you try to straighten it out. I am lucky I did not strip one trying to pull it open (the instructions were inside of the panels) Otherwise, that tension knob is a wonderful thing when shaping this as you need.”

Cons of Regalo 4 In 1 Metal Play Yard, White:

1. Easy to pull apart

2. Too light, can be easily moved

A negative review about Regalo 4 In 1 Metal Play Yard, White from a parent,

“I initially set this up to keep the boy from getting into the kitchen but after it was installed the boy was able to make it move pretty easily and so I moved it to block off the fireplace and the one I had blocking the fireplace from a different company I used to block of the kitchen. I think you would run into the same problem setting this thing up as a play yard, it is rather light so it moves easily. My boy is 15 months old and he was able to move this thing easily.”
