Q.How thick and sturdy is the plastic netting? I have a puppy that is destroying everything and I was wondering if he will be able to chew through it? Feb 28, 2014
A.It is pretty sturdy but if your puppy is a really heavy duty chewer, he might be able to get through it . I don’t think he would easily chew through it though.

Q.I wanted to purchase this gate to stop a baby from going up and down stairs. they live in an apartment with one rail, and the wall is concrete, can this gate be installed. Jun 4, 2014
A.The wall part should be fine and as long as the railing is wide enough this gate will work, although it works best if the slides can be flushed with whatever is holding it up. For instance I use this gate in doorways because anywhere in the house there is raised baseboards on the walls the gate can wobble and my girls can knock it down. I hope this helps!

Q.What is the circumference of the circles in the mesh, ie… 1 inch holes, 2 inch holes? Oct 31, 2014
A.They are 1″ holes. Just small enough that my Yorkie’s paws don’t go through them, but big enough that he can see outside. I put this up in my slider to protect the screen when I have the glass door open. My little 7.5 pound dog has almost busted through the screen to get at squirrels.

Q.Can a Kitten climb up by clawing into the gate? Sep 29, 2014
A.I wouldn’t put it past any climbing animal (kitten or even determined dog) to be able to get over the fence. It depends on the age of the kitten but i wouldn’t expect the gate to keep any cat behind it for long.

Q.Can this gate work on an outdoor deck opening? Aug 16, 2014
A.I don’t see why not–as long as you have 2 vertical posts to hold it in place–also check the width of opening and gate to make sure it will fit. If your deck opening is like a doorway opening, it should work. If leaving it outside for awhile, I would spray the wood with some waterproof sealant–the mesh is plastic so water would not be a concern.

Q.I want to fit this gate for my balcony which has wide open bars.can this be fixed attached to balcony ? Jun 7, 2014
A.This is your normal pressure gate. As making it fixed attached, you would have to buy a mod for it to be fixed.

Q.How long is this gate? My door is only 23 inches across. Will it fit in that space or would it be too large? May 22, 2014
A.It extends 28″-42″ according to the description. So I think it would be too large.

Q.Has anyone tried using two of these side-by-side to span a wider distance? In our case, the distance is 74″. Mar 20, 2014
A.These gates are held using lateral force against door frames. Two gates will not support each other.

Q.Would it be possible to use this gate with wooden spacers on the upper bumpers in a hallway with moldings? Oct 22, 2013
A.I use it in my hallway with bumpers. it bends a little but doesnt snap. it will mold, fit and tighten. but just adjust with caution. I do feel like if i rush or force it that it could break.

Q.Can the door be closed with this gate installed in the doorway? Need it for 2 1/2 year old’s bedroom on the second floor. Jan 28, 2014
A.Of course. You would install it on the outside door frame. You should be able to close the door just fine.

Q.Would this work outside? I would like a portable gate to use at the top of outdoor deck stairs when we’re spending time outside. Jun 10, 2014
A.Yes it would! I took it outside once to block a hole in the fence (because my cats were playing in the yard) and forgot it there for a week. Nothing happened to it (no damage etc).
