Q:What is the width of the human walk through?
A:
I will say that it’s pretty narrow…without taking a tape measure to it, I’d say 2 1/2 feet. It’s especially hard to carry a laundry basket full of laundry through it. You have to carry the laundry basket over the top of the gate, which is kind of a pain. Hope this helps!

I love this gate, it’s pretty, sturdy, and yes it can adjust to fit the different widths both at the top and at the bottom. It’s great.

Yes, there are adjustments for different widths on the top and bottom.
Q:Is this easy enough to open that a 4 year old would be strong enough to lift and open it?

Q:Is this gate easy enough to move from one doorway to another without expending a whole lot of time and effort?

We used the mounting casters to prevent it from being easy to move, I imagine that if you skipped that step it would screw tight and loosen up like any other pressure mounted gate. We permanent mounted ours, it also depends upon your definition of ‘a lot of time and effort’, it will take a few minutes to unscrew and screw tight again.
Q:is gate easy to open ?

Very easy to open. There’s a latch button you squeeze with your finger while you slightly lift the gate using the same hand. Very easy to operate. It’s a very good gate. Very satisfied.

Q:How does this adjust for width? From the picture it looks like there are two side panels of fixed size that pivot to fit a smaller opening?
A:
Nothing pivots on this gate. There are two additional side panels with just a couple vertical bars that fit on each side if necessary. Also, the little feet on the sides extend like screws to make a custom fit. We used both additional side panels and extended the feet out quite a bit to have this fit in our doorway. It works very well for our 20 lb dog and is easy enough that our 7 and 11 yr old are comfortable using it.

I don’t think so. This one doesn’t have the hinges on the edges, and it clasps differently. However, the Supergate Deluxe D�cor Metal Gate would work. I have the Supergate Deluxe D�cor Metal Gate, Espresso and use the Supergate extension units with it, so I know those fit well together.
Q:what size opening does it fit
A:
We have them in doors with 36″ openings using the extension pieces. We bought two of these and love them. This is the only gate I found with a stay open door. I wish I found these years ago. I also like the bronze coloring.
Q:Would it be suitable for outdoor use?
A:
I don’t see why not. We only use ours indoors, but they’re very sturdy.
